IMPACT Study: IMProve Pregnancy in APS With Certolizumab Therapy

This treatment trial evaluates the addition of an anti-tumor necrosis factor-alpha drug, certolizumab, to usual treatment (a heparin agent and low-dose aspirin) in pregnant women with antiphospholipid syndrome (APS) and repeatedly positive tests for lupus anticoagulant (LAC) to determine if this regimen will improve pregnancy outcomes. All enrolled patients will receive certolizumab, and pregnancy outcomes will be compared to those of women with APS and repeatedly positive tests for LAC enrolled in a previous study by the investigators.

This study aims to use \[C-11\]MRB PET (positron emission tomography) imaging to look at brain injury in patients with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and healthy individuals. The overarching hypothesis is that there is decreased radioligand binding to the norepinephrine transporter in multiple sclerosis, reflecting injury to the noradrenergic system and that it plays a role in disease pathogenesis, its clinical manifestations and severity.

The main purpose of this Phase 2 double blind, placebo controlled crossover clinical study is to demonstrate the efficacy and safety of CXA-10 in obese adult asthmatics. Obesity induces a chronic systemic inflammatory state characterized by impaired adipokine signaling, pro-inflammatory cytokine responses, inflammatory cell activation and enhanced generation of oxidative inflammatory mediators.

The purpose of this study is to characterize the bronchodilator effect, systemic exposure and safety/tolerability of two different doses of inhaled glycopyrronium, when compared to placebo. The goal of this clinical trial is to compare soy isoflavones to placebo in children who at risk of asthma and have a genetic variation which results in them making more of a pro-inflammatory protein, plasminogen activator inhibitor-1. The main questions this trail seeks to answer is: will soy isoflavones decrease the proportion of infants with aT2 high endotype at the end of treatment, and secondarily decrease the number of wheezing episodes in these children when given in the first year of life.
