The goal of this study is to learn whether patients who have a genetic mutation in the genes that cause alpha 1 antitrypsin deficiency also have genetic variation in nearby genes that can increase risk for reduced immune function and respiratory infections. To investigate this hypothesis, we will compare immune responses to the 20-valent pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (PCV20, Pfizer) between participants who have one abnormal copy of the SERPINA1 gene and either no COPD exacerbations, vs those with 2 or more COPD exacerbations in the past year.

This is a multinational, multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, Phase 3 induction study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of duvakitug in participants with moderately to severely active Ulcerative Colitis (UC). Study details include: The study duration may be up to 35 weeks with: * Screening period * 12-week Sub-Study 1 (Single-Arm Open-Label Feeder Induction) or Sub-Study 2 (Pivotal Induction) * 12-week Sub-Study 3 (Extended Induction for non-responders) * 45 days follow-up visit for participants who do not enroll into the maintenance study (EFC18359) The treatment duration will be up to 12 weeks in each sub-study.

This is a parallel, Phase 2b/Phase 3, 3-arm study to investigate the efficacy, safety, and tolerability of subcutaneous (SC) treatment with lunsekimig compared with placebo in adult participants (aged 40 to 80 years, inclusive) with inadequately controlled Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) characterized by an eosinophilic phenotype. The purpose of this study is to examine the hypothesize that 4 weeks of sympathetic nerve activity (SNA) inhibition (oral clonidine) will cause a significant reduction in circulating blood concentrations and endothelial cell expression of inflammatory markers (e.g., TNF-α, IL-6). Our study is a prospective study using a randomized, double-blinded design to test 4 weeks of SNA blockade (oral clonidine) compared with a BP-lowering control condition (diuretic, hydrochlorothiazide) or a placebo.
