- Multiple sclerosis (MS)
Targeting Agonists of Glucagon-like Peptide-1 Receptor for Multiple Sclerosis
Testing a medicine to reduce brain and eye tissue loss in people with multiple sclerosis
📍 Johns Hopkins University · Baltimore, MD · +1 more US site · Get directions →
The goal of this clinical trial is to evaluate if the study drug will reduce brain and retinal atrophy by reducing inflammation and subsequently slowing neurodegeneration in people with Multiple Sclerosis. The main outcome for the trial is change in normalized brain parenchymal volume (nBPV), measured by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
- Obesity / overweightCrohn's / ulcerative colitis (IBD)
Mirikizumab Administered at the Same Time as Tirzepatide in Adult Participants With Moderately to Severely Active Ulcerative Colitis and Obesity or Overweight: Phase 3b Study
Testing two medicines together to reduce ulcerative colitis symptoms and weight in adults with
📍 Digestive Health Specialists · Dothan, AL · +36 more US sites · Get directions →
The main purpose of this study is to show whether in these individuals, treatment with both mirikizumab and tirzepatide, compared with treatment with mirikizumab and placebo, leads to decrease or disappearance of UC symptoms, and loss of at least one-tenth of the overall body weight. Participation in this study will last up to 61 weeks, including 52 weeks of treatment.
- Obesity / overweightCrohn's / ulcerative colitis (IBD)
Mirikizumab and Tirzepatide Administered in Adult Participants With Moderately to Severely Active Crohn's Disease and Obesity or Overweight
Testing treatments for adults with Crohn’s disease and excess weight
📍 Digestive Health Specialists · Dothan, AL · +34 more US sites · Get directions →
The main purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of mirikizumab and placebo compared with mirikizumab and concomitantly administered tirzepatide in adult participants with moderately to severely active CD and obesity, or overweight. The maximum duration of this study is up to 61 weeks.
- Multiple sclerosis (MS)
People With Multiple Sclerosis Treated With Ocrelizumab and GLP-1 Agonists
Testing how ocrelizumab and GLP-1 medicines affect disability in multiple sclerosis
📍 Northwestern Memorial Hospital · Chicago, IL · Get directions →
The primary outcome measure is PIRA (progression independent of relapse activity), based primarily on clinical assessment, dichotomized as present or not. For Aim 1, the cohort, patient-derived disability status (PDDS) score, and ambulation score (self-reported) will be the primary endpoints of interest.
- Crohn's / ulcerative colitis (IBD)
Glucagon-like Peptide-1 Receptor Agonist (GLP-1 RA) and Diet in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Patients
Testing diet plus an injectable medicine to treat mild Crohn’s in people with higher BMI
📍 University of Miami · Miami, FL · Get directions →
The purpose of this study is to use diet and an injectable medication called tirzepatide (Zepbound) glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide and glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonist (GIP-GLP-1 RA) medication as adjunctive therapy (another treatment used together with the primary treatment) for Crohn's disease patients with mild disease who are on stable doses of biologic medication (infliximab or adalimumab) and who have a body mass index (BMI) of at least 27.
- DepressionAnxiety
Pharmaco-Neuroimaging Studies of Approach/Avoidance Behaviors and Post-Mortem Studies: Pharmacological Manipulation
Testing whether a brain drug affects decision-making in depression and anxiety
📍 Mclean Hospital · Belmont, MA · Get directions →
The study will investigate whether a nociceptin receptor antagonist will normalize neural and behavioral processes of approach/avoidance decision-making in unmedicated individuals with major depressive disorder (MDD) and anxiety disorders. More specifically, the study aims to investigate dysregulation within (1) corticostriatal-midbrain circuitry and (2) nociceptin/orphanin FQ peptide and the nociceptin receptor (NOPR).
