We will conduct a 12-month, double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled trial to assess the effects of therapy with ferric citrate (FC) on changes in intact FGF23 levels (iFGF23, primary endpoint) in 160 pediatric patients (80 in each of the two arms) aged 6-18 years of either sex with chronic kidney disease (CKD) stages 3-4 and age-appropriate normal serum phosphate levels. Participants will be randomized to one of the two groups: 1) FC or 2) FC placebo.

The investigators will study whether the drug tadalafil improves shortness of breath in 126 Veterans with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and high blood pressure in the lungs. The goal of this multi-national, multi-center, open-label, randomized Phase 2 trial is to determine the safety and efficacy of administering expanded regulatory T cells (TRK-001) to prevent allograft rejection in living donor renal transplant recipients. This treatment trial evaluates the addition of an anti-tumor necrosis factor-alpha drug, certolizumab, to usual treatment (a heparin agent and low-dose aspirin) in pregnant women with antiphospholipid syndrome (APS) and repeatedly positive tests for lupus anticoagulant (LAC) to determine if this regimen will improve pregnancy outcomes. All enrolled patients will receive certolizumab, and pregnancy outcomes will be compared to those of women with APS and repeatedly positive tests for LAC enrolled in a previous study by the investigators.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of the 10 GE Xenokidney in patients with ESRD who are either not eligible for conventional allogeneic kidney transplantation (Group 1) or are on an Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network (OPTN) kidney transplant waitlist, but are more likely to die or go untransplanted within 5 years than receive a kidney transplant (Group 2). The study consists of xenotransplantation followed by a 24-week Post-transplant Follow up Period (Part A) to evaluate the efficacy and safety objectives followed by a Long-term Follow-up Period (Part B) to evaluate participant survival, 10 GE Xenokidney survival, and screening for zoonotic infections.
