✅ You may be able to join if…
- •Adults 18 to 65 years old (male or female).
- •Have a current diagnosis of social anxiety disorder.
- •Have high scores on both social anxiety rating scales: Liebowitz Social Anxiety Scale total score ≥ 60 and Public Speaking Anxiety Scale total score ≥ 60.
- •Hamilton Depression Rating Scale score is 18 or less.
- •Can and are willing to give written informed consent.
🚫 You may not be able to join if…
- •Have had a suicide attempt or suicidal thoughts in the past 2 years, or are currently at risk of suicide (as judged by the investigator).
- •Have a history of bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, psychosis, seizures, delusional disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, or autism spectrum disorder.
- •Have posttraumatic stress disorder or an eating disorder within the past 6 months.
- •Have a substance or alcohol use disorder within the past 6 months or test positive on drug/alcohol screening.
- •Are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or nursing during the trial period.

What is this study testing?+
This is a multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of a single oral dose of VQW-765 compared to placebo in adults with social anxiety disorder.
Is it safe? Who makes sure of that?+
This is a late-stage study (Phase 3), testing how well the treatment works in more people. Every study is reviewed and monitored by an independent ethics board (called an IRB) whose job is to protect participants, and care is overseen by licensed medical staff. You'll be told the known risks before you agree to anything, and you can stop at any time.
Will I get a placebo instead of the real treatment?+

Is my information private?+
Yes. Your health information is only shared with the study sites you choose to be contacted by, and only to help match and enroll you. It is never sold, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.
