✅ You may be able to join if…
- •Post-menopausal (12 months without periods, or 6 months without periods with FSH > 40 mIU/ml, or 6 weeks after both ovaries were removed).
- •Age 46 to 60.
- •Have obesity (BMI ≥30) or BMI ≥27 with related conditions such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, sleep apnea, or heart/cardiovascular disease.
- •Have bothersome hot flashes (at least 28 episodes per week) that have lasted more than 30 days.
- •Be able to join all study parts, including self-injecting the study drug, and follow a low-calorie diet and at least 150 minutes of physical activity per week.
🚫 You may not be able to join if…
- •Currently taking menopausal hormone therapy, estrogen-containing contraceptives (including vaginal estrogen), and certain hormone medicines (androgens or progestogens).
- •Using fezolinetant for menopausal symptoms.
- •People whose menopause is due to cancer treatments.
- •Have major kidney problems (GFR ≤30 ml/min/1.73 m²) or certain thyroid lab results (TSH ≥7 with low free T4).
- •Have other major health issues that can interfere (for example, active serious infectious/hepatic/malignancy/uncontrolled psychiatric disease, or high ASCVD heart-risk >7.5%).

What is this study testing?+
The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of tirzepatide on vasomotor symptoms and on measures of biological aging.

The study treatment and study-related visits are provided at no cost to you. Some studies also pay for your time; the coordinator can tell you if this one does. You should never be asked to pay to take part.
